The Department of Chemistry organized a National Conference on “Recent Advances in Chemical Research (NCRACR-2019)” on 12th September 2019. Dr. Sulthan Ahamed Ismail, Director, Eco Science Research Foundation, Chennai inaugurated the event. Dr. Sulthan Ahamed in his key note speech on “The Earth’s Sake”stressed on the importance of organic manure and also encouraged the participants to go for innovative technologies in the field of agriculture for the upcoming years. Dr. C.V.S. Brahmananda Rao, MC&MFCG, Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research, Kalpakkam gave a Plenary lecture on Nuclear Power: A Green Energy” .Prof. Lima Rose Miranda, Head, Department of Chemical Engineering, Alagappa College of Technology, Anna University, Chennai gave a talk on “Pyrolysis of Plastic Waste”. Around 100 participants have participated and presented their research papers (Oral/Poster) in the field of Chemical Research.
