Department of Biomedical Engineering has conducted a Guest lecture on “Job opportunities for
Biomedical Engineers in Hospitals and Healthcare industries” for first year BME students,
research scholars and faculties on 12.09.2022 at 9.30AM – 11:00 AM.
The event started with a warm welcome note by Mr.S.Sakthivel, AP/BME, SRM IST Ramapuram.
Mrs.P.Mareeswari gave an introductory speech about the Resource Person, “Mr.T.U.Vishnu”,
Founder & CEO, Machenn Innovations Pvt. Ltd, Coimbatore.
Mr.T.U.Vishnu took over the session briefing healthcare industries and its current markets for
around 110 students. The session was ended with vote of thanks by Dr.K.Ramji.
The participants gained knowledge on
• Importance of Healthcare industry and its current development in market.
• Roles of Biomedical Engineers in Hospitals and Healthcare industry.
• Introduction to the additive manufacturing.
• Future research and commercialization opportunities in 3D printing.
