The occasion of International Day of the Girl Child, marks the importance of adolescent girl children and attempts at identifying their power and potential by opening opportunities for them.
As this day seeks to celebrate the role of girls, the women’s grievances and redressal cell, Faculty of Engineering & Technology SRMIST, Ramapuram has organized a program at TRP Auditorium on 10.10. 2022.

Program started with invocation. Convener of the WGRC, Dr. Shakeela Sathish welcomed the gathering.
Dean (E& T) in his felicitation mentioned that, international girl child day acknowledges the importance, power and potential of girls.
Director, SRM group of institutions, Ramapuram campus encouraged the meaningful participation of girls in taking decisions that affect their lives.

Chennai, Tamil Nadu in her keynote address mentioned that, international girl child day is designated to eliminate gender based challenges that girls face around the world. She encouraged the girls to come forward and voice the abuse, violence and discrimination faced by girls.
Dr. Faritha Bhanu, one of the coordinators, WGRC proposed the vote of thanks. More than 350 girl students participated in the program.
