Description of the Event/Objective:
In pursuit of the vision of the Viksit Bharat, the Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will lay down the foundation stone of the three Semiconductor facilities on 13th March 2024. It is a national endeavour so it can be achieved with whole of society and whole of Government approach. Students and youths are key stakeholder of this endeavour.
As per the communications from AICTE and UGC, The India’s Techade-Chips for Viksit Bharat(Participate in a conference/Seminar) have been started with warm welcome Address by Dr.M.Saravanan,Associate Professor,HOD(i/c), Department of Physics and Institution Coordinator,Campus Life. The programme was graced by Associate Director, Dean(E&T),Dean(Campus Life),Vice Principal(Admin),HODs, Department Campus Life Coordinators and all branches of Students.
Dean(Campus Life) felicitated the gathering. She encompasses the importance of Semiconductor Mission in recent days.
Dean(E&T) Presided over the programme. In Presidential address,Dean(E&T) expressed about India Semiconductor Mission and how it has been set up by the Government of India to create an end-to-end semiconductor ecosystem to enable the nation to become a significant player in the global semiconductor industry. He also stated the Aligning with India’s Semi-Conductor Mission and with an aim to strengthen the semiconductor facilities in India, Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will lay down the foundation stone of the three Semiconductor facilities in
1. India’s First Fab Facility in Dholera, Gujarat.
2. OSAT facility in Sanand, Gujarat
3. OSAT facility in Morigaon, Assam on 13th March 2024.
In view of the programme, Campus Life organized seminar on “India’s Techade- Chips for Viksit Bharat” at 9.30 am in TRP Auditorium and HiTech Hall-I and HiTech Hall-II,SRM IST, Ramapuram including live streaming of the address of our Honourable Prime Minister.
In Indias Techade-Chips for Viksit Bharat programme,where students participated with great enthusiasm and acquire knowledge about India’s Semiconductor Mission. The Vote of Thanks proposed by Mr.Maheshkumar,AP/ECE. The contribution by the students towards the programme was immense.
