An Interactive Course on C++ by Microsoft Student Partners and Competitive Coders from Agrim Lab (A technical student club, hosted by Department of CSE). This Event is meant to up skill higher secondary school and diploma students during the covid-19 lockdown and engage them in meaningful activities.
Importance of the workshop
1) Covers essential topics and concepts for programming.
2) Getting students familiar with object oriented programming.
3) Learning how to write efficient codes.
4) Practical sessions on Hacker rank with 113+ coding questions.
5) Doubt clearing sessions and discussion forum
Synopsis
The course was inaugurated by the HOD of CSE Department on Day 0. All the shortlisted students along with the lab members, faculties were present and their excitement was reflected during the entire session. The words of inspiration were extremely motivational for the assembled students. Course content was designed and delivered by Microsoft Student Partners and Competitive Coders from Agrim Lab. Each lecture was paired with a quiz and the discussion forum where the students could get their doubts cleared and also helped their peers thus building a professional connection. The interest of the students was evident by the number of questions they had during the doubt clearing sessions. A webinar was also conducted to help students to clear their doubts and myths regarding career in Computer Science. The students also showed interest in domains like Machine Learning, Internet of Things, Game Development, etc. and answered their questions in the best possible way. Along with this we also had 113+ coding questions on Hacker rank and encouraged the students to continue coding on other online platforms like Code chef, Leetcode, etc..
On the participants’ request, an additional doubt clarification session was conducted on Day 9 (19th May 2020)
