Session-2: 15/05/2020 Time: 04:00PM – 06:00 PM
Agenda
An invigorating two-day workshop on Robotics and machine learning that gave school students and diploma students a Launchpad to explore the world of automation.
Importance of the workshop
1) Provides the basic knowledge on Robotics and machine learning
2) Covers on how Robots help during pandemic
3) Insights on mathematics behind Robotics
4) Importance of machine learning in Automation
5) Working of ML algorithms with demonstration
6) Job opportunities and future of machine learning
Synopsis
The course was inaugurated by the HOD of CSE Department on Day 1. The welcome speech was rendered by Dr. Balika J Cheliah. Day-1 was all about Robotics and the sessions were organized in such a way that the participants got a basic overview on building robots for the future. In line with the current situation, the participants were introduced as to how Robots help during the Covid-19 pandemic. It was followed by a live demonstration of building a Bluetooth Robot using Arduino. The Asiminovid Robot was then introduced and how robotics help in building Intelligent Apps. Simple mathematics behind Robots was also taught and the participants engaged actively in solving math equations. Day-1 ended with some great feedback from the participants and laid a platform for an amazing day-2. Day-2 began with the introduction of Machine learning and how it helps with automation. ML algorithms were also broken down and presented in simpler terms, which was very helpful for the participants. The participants were also treated with a demonstration on Deep learning and insights into real-time applications of AI. The Day-2 ended with the job opportunities being laid out to the budding engineers.
