Report on the webinar– “Harnessing Big Data for medical equipments”-Department of Biomedical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering and Technology, SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Ramapuram organized on 29.10.24 in online mode.
SPECIAL INVITEE:
Mr. Rajivpriyan Thirunavukkarasu, Senior Associate Field Engineer, Alcon. This event was conducted for the benefit of UG students in the domain of Biomedical Engineering. The event was conducted in online mode between 6.00 p.m- 7.00 p.m. Around 180 participants were benefitted.
The event started with the welcome address by event coordinator. This was followed by a realistic presentation by Mr. Rajivpriyan Thirunavukkarasu where he explained the various essential health care insights and career opportunities in the sphere of biomedical engineering to Biomedical I, II, III-year students. This event showcased an impressive array of innovative research and creative solutions in the field of biomedical engineering. Harnessing Big Data for medical equipment is a promising frontier in healthcare. By enabling predictive maintenance, improving patient outcomes, and supporting clinical decision-making, Big Data is reshaping how medical equipment is managed and used in healthcare settings. As the technology and analytical techniques continue to evolve, Big Data will undoubtedly play a critical role in advancing the future of medical equipment, ultimately contributing to a more efficient, personalized, and patient- centered healthcare system.The event fostered a collaborative environment, encouraging discussions between students and the guest lecturer. It highlighted the department’s commitment to nurturing research and innovation, providing a platform for budding engineers to gain knowledge and present their ideas.
