REPORT ON HANDS ON WORKSHOP TO IMPART THE BASIC KNOWLEDGE IN THE FIELD OF ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONICS ENGINEERING

The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering organized a two day Hands-on Workshop to Impart the Basic Knowledge in the Field of Electrical and Electronics Engineering. The idea workshop was to equip students with the various components and their workings that they would be coming across in the next few years. The convenors arranged for all components such as resistors, transistors, LEDs and even soldering machines so students could engage themselves in a first hand experience in building circuits and trying out their working.
Different types of circuits diagrams were introduced and the necessary apparatus to form the circuit provided. These included Touch sensors, 555 Timers etc.
On the other hand electrical circuits were also displayed. Staircase wiring and Room Layouts were explained. The Faculty of Electrical and Electronic Engineering believe that theoretical knowledge can only help their students out for a while, but unless they experiment and try to see the workings for themselves it is futile to mug up components, their applications and their working.
