The CHAT Club from the Department of IT, SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Ramapuram, successfully hosted “Gen AI Quest” an exciting event that blended learning and competition, with 30 enthusiastic participants eager to explore the world of Generative AI!
Session on Generative AI
The event kicked off with an informative session by Pushpa (IT-2B) and Nithin (IT-2A), covering:
How Generative AI works – Understanding models like GPT & diffusion models.
Applications of Gen AI – AI in content creation, automation & deepfake detection.
Ethical Challenges – Tackling AI biases, misinformation & responsible AI use.
Quiz Competition – Test Your AI Knowledge!
After the session, participants took on a two-round quiz challenge:
Round 1: Led by Ananthikaa (IT-2A) and Nithin (IT-2A), covering AI fundamentals & real-world applications.
Round 2: Hosted by Rashmika (IT-2A) and Varshini (IT-2A), featuring advanced AI scenarios & problem-solving challenges.
Awards & Closing Remarks
The event wrapped up with Dr. Deeptha Ma’am thanking all the participants for their active involvement. Dr. Rajeswari Ma’am (HoD, IT) then presented trophies to the winners, recognizing their outstanding performance.
