CAMPUS LIFE EVENTS -Institute level Elocution Competition
In light of India’s presidency at the 2023 G20 summit, Competitions Club of Campus Life, SRM IST, College of Engineering and Technology organized Institute level Elocution Competition.

Title: My Vision for India’s G20 Presidency

107 Students from assorted branches of Engineering & Technology have enthusiastically registered and 37 students have short listed for final round to the Institute Level Elocution Competition in G20 theme. Priorly, Dr.M.Saravanan, Assistant Professor, Overall Campus Life Coordinator and Convenor of the event has given the set of instructions to the participants.
In view of the above, the competition helped the students gain a critical understanding of the issues surrounding the overall and economic development of women. Students emphasized the following topics during the final round.
a) The advancement of the sustainable development objectives.
b) Climate change and its effects.
c) A circular economy and environmentally friendly lifestyle.
d) Digitalization of trading, skilling, and agriculture.
e) Women in the forefront of development initiatives/development led by women.
Students also expressed their pride to all of us as a responsible citizen of India that our country holds the presidency of the prestigious G20. The competition provided great opportunity for the students to develop their communication, speaking and critical thinking skills. Each participant has given 3 mins time to complete their speech in the title. Convenors Mr.K.Arulvendhan,AP/EEE and Dr.Monika Venkatachalam,AP/Biotech collected the feedback from participants.
Dean (Campus Life) judged the students speech. Prizes and Certificates were distributed to the winners by Respected Dean(E&T) who have done best in G20 title “My Vision for India’s G20 Presidency”. We thank the management for providing immense support to make this competition a grand success.
