TEXUS 2K25 – WORKSHOP
SUMMARY OF THE EVENT:
The Future Ready: Agile, AI, and Banking Evolution workshop was held on March 26, 2025, as a full-day, immersive learning experience. The event aimed to bridge the gap between theory and practice by equipping participants with essential skills in Agile methodologies and Artificial Intelligence (AI), particularly within the banking sector. The day began with a warm welcome and a clear overview of the agenda, setting the tone for an engaging session. The first segment focused on Agile frameworks, where participants took part in interactive Scrum role-playing and team-building exercises. These hands-on activities introduced Agile workflows, sprint planning, and collaborative development, providing a strong foundation in Agile practices. The workshop then transitioned into AI and Machine Learning (AIML), covering foundational topics such as Decision Trees and Natural Language Processing (NLP). A key highlight was the exploration of AI
applications in banking, including fraud detection, automated financial services, and discussions on ethical considerations in AI-driven systems. A brief networking break offered attendees the opportunity to interact with industry professionals and peers, fostering valuable connections. Post-break, participants engaged in a
group activity where they applied Agile and AI concepts to real-world banking scenarios. This encouraged creative problem-solving, collaboration, and innovation. The session concluded with an insightful Q&A led by Ms. Suganthi Alagumalai, Vice President at JP Morgan Chase & Co., who shared practical insights into Agile- driven transformation and the evolving role of AI in finance. Her expertise enriched the discussion and inspired participants to think critically about the future of banking.
