Excellent Multi-Folded Opportunities Await Electrical Engineers - SRM Ramapuram

The department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, SRMIST Ramapuram, organized a webinar on 8^th June 2020 on ‘Excellent Multi-Folded Opportunities Await Electrical Engineers: Let Us Explore them’ for the benefit of +2 students, diploma students and all EEE students, between 2 PM and 4 PM.

The content was presented by Dr.K.N.Srinivas, HOD/EEE, Mrs.S.Nithya AP/EEE and Mr.Sai Rakesh Avvaru (Alumni).

The event was conducted through ZOOM meeting software

Invocation and Welcome Address:

Dr. K. N Srinivas (Head of Department, Electrical and Electronics Engineering) addressed the participants and explained about the various opportunities existing in the electrical field and also about the emerging technologies blooming in the electric field.

Following this, Mrs. S. Nithya (AP /EEE), presented the following points and interacted with the participants. She presented the various opportunities await electrical engineers in about 45 PPT slides, elaborately. Facilities provided at SRM IST RMP in academic, curriculum, infrastructure, lab facilities, faculty expertise, research, students projects, new emerging areas such as EV, smart grid and IoT, placements, internships, SAP, core company participations, Alumni engagements and central facilities such as library, canteen etc., have been showcased to the audience for about 45 minutes.

Participants were also allowed to clarify anything, if required.

Mr. Sai Rakesh Avvaru, Electrical Development Engineer, The Good Year Tire & Rubber Co, USA, the notable alumni of EEE department, addressed the participants about the scope of an electrical engineer and the skills needed to develop to become a successful engineer.
