On 15th September 2022, Department of Civil Engineering conducted a celebration for Engineer’s day at AV hall, SRM institute of science and technology, Ramapuram campus, commemorating the birthday of one of the greatest engineers in India. Mr. Senthilvelan, Head of Civil department (i/c) welcomed Dr. Murali Krishnan, Dean, SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Ramapuram campus, students and faculty members of the department of civil engineering. Lighting of lamp and showering the flowers to Sir. M. V. was done by our Dean, followed by our HOD and then by the students of the department of civil engineering. Dean has shared his thoughts on the wonderful contributions of Sir. Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya. He emphasized on the simple and disciplined life of Sir M. V. He also encouraged the students to follow his footprints in their future endeavours. Around 60 students attended this session and gained knowledge on the valuable thoughts shared by our Dean Sir. At the end of the celebration, sweets were distributed to the students.
