Summary of the Event:
The Department of Biomedical Engineering – BIONEXUS, SRM Institute of Science and
Technology, Ramapuram, successfully organized an engaging and creativity-driven event titled
“Emote & Act” on 8th April 2026 at Block III, 4th Floor, Room 403, from 12:20 PM to 1:20
PM. The event aimed to enhance students’ expression, creativity, communication, and quick
thinking through interactive and fun-based challenges.
The program was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Ushus S. Kumar, Head of the Department
(I/C), Biomedical Engineering. The faculty coordinators, Dr. Pushpa B (AP/BME) and Dr. R.
Indhumathi (AP/BME), provided continuous support and guidance for the successful execution
of the event.
The event was efficiently organized by student coordinators S. Shreya (III Year) and Sai Mayu S
(II Year), along with event coordinators D. Kertan Dayalan (III Year), R. Ratna Shradha (II
Year), and K. Vasumitha (II Year). Their coordination and efforts ensured the smooth conduct of
all activities.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, creating a lively and energetic
atmosphere. Participants actively engaged in all rounds, showcasing their creativity and
teamwork. E-certificates were awarded to all participants as recognition of their involvement.
Concept and Design of the Event:
The “Emote & Act” event was designed to promote expressive communication, creativity, and
quick thinking through interactive and engaging rounds. It focused on helping participants
explore both verbal and non-verbal forms of communication while responding to tasks within a
limited time.
The structure of the event included two rounds — Emoji Decode and Situation Acting — each
targeting different aspects of creativity and communication. The Emoji Decode round
encouraged participants to interpret symbolic representations and derive meaningful conclusions,
while the Situation Acting round focused on expressive performance and teamwork.
The event emphasized collaboration, imagination, and spontaneity, allowing participants to think
creatively and respond confidently. The time-bound format added excitement and encouraged

Round 1: Emoji Decode
