The 6th National level technical symposium ELECXA’19 was conducted on 6th March by Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, SRM Institute of science and technology, Ramapuram. ELECXA’19 was an amalgamation of various technical, non-technical and on spot events. The technical events organised were paper presentation, poster presentation, Minor project, workshop and levelup. The Non-technical events organised were Behind the lens(photography event),Futsal(Football),Meme-a-thon(Meme creation event),Channel Surfing,Super over(cricket) and Adzap .The on spot events hosted on the day of the event were Treasure hunt, Shutter surprise(photography event), Dumbbell hold, Minute to win it, Fandom quiz, and photobooth. The theme of the symposium was”REVIVAL AND GO GREEN TECHNOLOGY”. In correlation with the theme for all decoration work non-biodegradable and plastic-based products was strictly avoided. Instead, the on the day of symposium decoration of the college campus was done using different varieties of plants and other natural articles such as pebbles, paper and sand. On 6th March, the stage was shared by respected Dean (E&T), VP(Academic), Dr Phani Kumar Polasi(Professor and Head of ECE Department), Conveners Mr.G.Vasantha Moorthy (AP Sr.G/ECE) and Mr.A.Manikandan (AP Sr.G/ECE), Chief guest Mr.Pradeep G-Director at INTEL-FICE Bangalore. The chief guest gave the inaugural speech on “Nothing is impossible “and how one can achieve their goal with belief, hard work and firm determination. The inaugural function was followed by the various pre-planned technical, nontechnical and on spot events respectively. The technical and non-technical events were judged by many reputed judges from various prestigious institutions. The symposium was a grand success with more than 100+ registrations from across 15 different institutions. In the end, the valedictory ceremony was held where all the winners were awarded and the certificates were distributed.
