In view of COVID-19 pandemic there is a paradigm shift in terms of learning world-wide. The new urgency for remote teaching caused by the COVID-19 pandemic has created an opportunity for the country to adopt policies to accelerate blending learning practices among teachers and learners. Most institutions around the world are moving away from the traditional classroom face-to face to digital learning. Majority of the students who are presently enrolled in various educational institutions around the world are shifting their mode of learning from physical classroom to digital learning education.
To be in alongside with the latest teaching, the Department of Mathematics, SRM IST, Ramapuram organized an Expert talk on “Education trends post COVID -19” on 25.07.2020 exclusively for school principals.
Dr. P. Malliga , Centre for Educational Media and Technology, NITTTR, (Min. of HRD, Govt. of India), Chennai was the resource person. More than 100 school principals from all over India participated in this program.
Impact of COVID-19 pandemic on education was overviewed where Education- Present Situation was discussed. Closure of schools and its catastrophic impact on society, Challenges measuring and validating learning, Education trends post COVID-19 where new learning’s, new perspectives and new trends which will emerge were elucidated. The webinar was fruitful where keeping abreast with the latest trend was expounded thereby enlightening the participants.
