The DCD Club of ECE Department, SRM University, Ramapuram Campus, was founded on 18th March 2016 by a group of II Year BTech students, under the guidance of Mr. G.Vinoth Kumar Asst.Prof., ECE Department. Our goal is to introduce students to the diversity of branches within the engineering field and help them develop knowledge through events, seminars, presentations and other planned activities. The purpose is also to provide students a platform to showcase their ideas and innovations to a larger audience.
The DIPC club had been imparting latest information and upcoming trends on image processing and programming domain. The club has organized a number of activities like quizzes, seminars and many other events that has received appreciation from both college and students. The club has an inherent core member count of nearly 10-12 enthusiastic students who have participated and organised many major symposiums and conference. It has been an integral promoter of image processing technology and it constantly update it’s core members about the major happenings in the industry.
The club had also organised a number Placement related activities. Some of the passed out students were invited to speak about their experiences in the Placement drives. There was also Placement like competition organised to give the students a real time Placement scenario and there was a huge input from the participants too.
The EDIFY ELECTRONICS club is a hobby group that aims to teach and help people understand the seemingly incomprehensible electronic gadgets in the world today and also assist people in developing their own devices. The contemporary world is rife with rapidly evolving technology and the only way to stay ahead of the curve is to gain hands on experience with current trend. The EDIFYELECTRONICS was founded to nurture the inquisitive minds of our campus that seek to do the just that.We aim to provide students with the resources to explore the field of applied electronics and today that effort we conduct regular lectures ,workshops and mentorship programs .the club routinely floats project and in realising them ,students exercise their imaginations in creative experimentation and gain knowledge of current technology.
WHAT WE DO
1. We make the students to create their own PCBs by themselves, and every session we deal with some of the real time applications and we develop that as products
2. We motivate and guide them to come up with innovative projects that tackle real life problems, this is our main motive
3. Workshops are conducted on different topics, we are providing the practical platform to the students
4. We help the students to develop their entrepreneurship skills by trying to sell the hints what we made in the workshop, not for the profit, but to gain knowledge.

HAM club is a student run organization that strives to impart enthusiasm and passion for Amateur Radio design and transmission and allied fields among students of all departments of SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Ramapuram Campus.This club refers to: “A service of self training, inter-communication & technical investigations carried on by amateurs,that is,by persons duly authorized under these rules interested in radio techniques solely with a personal aim & without pecuniary interest.”This club aims to provide a platform for students to improve their technical knowledge in the fields of Wireless Communication and Networking.This club,for sure,will help the students not only in their studies but also in their career.
Why this Club?
HAM radio operators are a group of people nurturing a special interest in wireless communication technology.When all other means of communications have failed,HAM enthusiasts have played a vital role in communicating from remote inaccessible areas during natural disasters like floods, hurricane and tsunami and have aided rescue of victims.HAM Club promotes amateur radio operation among students as a useful hobby.The club organizes classes for operating HAM equipment.The club is also involved in obtaining necessary permission from the government departments for HAM aspirants.
Objectives of the HAM Club
The main objectives of our club are:
1. To work with the provincial emergency program to provide such training,manpower and resources,as are available.
2. To maintain the highest level of communication support to the community for a variety of events and in the event their systems fail,to significantly contribute to the overall effectiveness of the community response in the disaster.
3. To explain the concepts of Wireless Communication and Networking in a practical way in the form of workshops and technical seminars.
4. To provide a platform for the students to shape their innovative ideas.
5. To expose the students to the latest technological advancements in the fields of Wireless communication and networking.
6. To assist in training for obtaining radio amateur licence.
7. To provide R&D guidance and support.
