In celebration of World Environment Day 2025, the Department of Chemistry at SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST) hosted a vibrant E-Poster Competition under the theme “Erase Plastic, Embrace Earth.”
The contest welcomed students from higher secondary schools, diploma courses, and undergraduate programs, drawing enthusiastic entries from approximately 25 participants across various institutions.
The initiative aimed to foster awareness about the impact of plastic pollution through artistic creativity. Participants showcased imaginative and compelling posters that emphasized the wonders of nature and the critical need to reduce plastic waste.
Certificates of appreciation were awarded to the winners, and the event effectively motivated young individuals to champion environmental sustainability through the power of visual storytelling and advocacy.
