Over the centuries, Diwali has become a national festival that’s also enjoyed. This festival of joy, light, and hope marks a new beginning in our lives. This festival also represents the same symbolic victory of light over darkness, knowledge over ignorance, and good over evil. The Campus Life, Faculty of Engineering and Technology, SRMIST Ramapuram celebrated the Diwali Festival on 29.10.2024.
Right after the decorations are done routine rituals are followed for prayer song and lighting the Kuthuvizhaku by the Vice Principal (Admin), Assistant Dean (Campus Life), Vice Principal(Academics),Vice Principal (Research), HODs, Coordinators and Students. Vice Principal (Admin) and Asst.Dean(Campus Life) inaugurated rangoli, cooking, Painting and Diya decoration competitions.
Cooking Competition
Students cooked delicious sweets like Mysore pak, gulab jamun, bread halwa, Kesari, Rava Laddu Star item of the event shahi Thukuda.etc The food was so delicious, choosing a winner was next to impossible.
Rangoli Competition
Students patterned the assorted styles of rangoli which established the Diwali theme.
Painting Competition
A big thank to everyone who participated in our painting Competition celebrating the vibrant festival of Diwali. Students’ creativity and artistry brought the spirit of the festival to life, and we were truly amazed by the beautiful designs which they painted.
Diya Decoration Competition
A heartfelt thank to everyone who participated in our Diya Decoration Competition! Students beautifully designed diyas truly captured the essence of Diwali, adding sparkle and creativity to the celebration!
The most Anticipated part in the celebration was Campus Life student’s performance.
They performed Dances, Speech about Diwali and also Punjabi Dhol which gave a vibrant impact among the audience and lightened the program. Overall, the entire session turned out to be an enjoyable and wonderful moment for audience.
