The welcome address and presentation about the department by

Professor & Head/Physics & Convenor of the Webinar
Dr. Mandeep Singh, Department of Physics, Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar – 143005, discussed about Crystallography and XRD, in general. In which he elaborated the symmetry in crystallography, crystals systems, Bravais lattices, crystal symmetry, crystallographic point groups and space groups, Miller indices, theory of X-ray diffraction, data collection, data reduction, structure crystal structure refinement etc. He also highlighted the application of single crystal and powder X-ray diffraction techniques. The participants gave very good feedback. The resource persons thanked the management and organizers for arranging the Webinar program.
