Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering conducted an important webinar to guide the polytechnic-diploma students on the Railway Recruitment Board – RRB aspects. The ONLINE webinar titled “RRB Guidance for diploma holders” was organized on 2nd June 2021. The learning outcomes of the events are to educate the diploma holders who are in final year of their study on the employment opportunities in railways and the preparation for the same to join Indian railways.
Mr. V Thirupathi, Senior section engineer, Southern railway, Chennai was Resource person. He explained in detail for about 2 hours on the various aspects of the intended topic. The preparations for the RRB, syllabus for the RRB exam, how to prepare for each content of the syllabus, various stages of the interview process, guidelines and procedure aptitude test, medical processes at the end and the appointment were elaborated by the resource person.
A total of 221 diploma students from various colleges were participated and were present till the end of this 2-hour long event. There was a 25 minutes questionnaire at the end, which helped the participants to interact with the resource person to clarify all doubts on RRB.
Earlier, at the start of the programme, the EEE department of IST was introduced in detail and a video on the department also was played, for the benefit of audience and the resource person.
