The webinar gives an overview of sustainable buildings, the importance of learning and implementing sustainable practices in the Architecture, Engineering and construction industry, guidelines for owning green building status, and also the benefits of IGBC AP. The session started with a welcome address by Er.M.Asokkumar, Prof & HOD/SEAD.

Shri. Er. Vasudevan Suresh, Chairman, IGBC shared the overview of Green buildings.
Sir is member of Expert group for EIA- Infra II projects of Ministry of Environment and Forests and Climate change, Member of Advisory Council for Rebuild Kerala and Member of Kerala Government Committee for Housing and Habitat Policy.
Smt. Rekha Mavulati, IGBC HQ , speaker of the day explained on various green building rating systems and certification..She is in-charge of IGBC Green Schools, Healthcare and Landscape Rating System Certification activities, and leads the team with Engineers and also she is an IGBC Accredited Professional, trained green buildings Faculty and Assessor.
Er.S.G. Ashok kumar, Member Advisory Board – IGBC, explained the benefits of IGBC AP and range of opportunities for a successful career. The participants gained a wide range of knowledge on Green Buildings. We are very grateful to have them.
Sir being experienced in various projects of industrial, highways, airports and residential urban development and green buildings.
