The Department of Computer Science and Engineering of SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Ramapuram as a part of their annual technical fest, Texus 2020, organisedHackathon-Rush 3.0 on March 7th and 8th of March 2020. The 24 hour Hackathon saw the journey of a small budding idea that ended up a minimum viable product. The theme was to empower students to solve day to day problems pertaining to any field from smart irrigation system to women safety.
Dean Dr.G.Selvakumar and Dr.N.Kannan, HOD-CSE along with mentors Mr.Abhishek Mishra and Mr.Abhimanyu Gupta from Essentia Corp PPL inaugurated the 24-hour Hackathon. Student participants from St.Joseph, Vel Tech and other institutions participated. Students were mentored by industrial experts continuously. At the end of the 24hours, the Juries assessed the ideas of the participants which saw the sun set of this beautiful event. The Jury Panel included 1.Mr.Muthukumaran, Project Manager, Wells Fargo, Chennai,2. Mr.Balasubramaniam, Director, BavistaPvt Ltd 3.Mr.Abhay Kumar, Senior Engineer, Rio. Finally the 1st, 2nd and 3rd rank holders were given prizes and the event ended up on the note of motivation and enthusiasm to do more and make new marketable projects.
