Convocation 2025
The 2025 Convocation of SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Ramapuram, was held on 15th November at the OAT with great enthusiasm. The 2025 Convocation was a resounding success, effectively honoring the hard work and dedication of our graduates from the Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Faculty of Dental Sciences, and Faculty of Architecture (SEAD).
The ceremony was graced by distinguished guests: Chief Guest Tmt. P. Ramana Saraswathi, IAS, Managing Director of Tamil Nadu Fibrenet Corporation Limited (TANFINET); Guests of Honour Ms. Parvathi Karthik, Head of HR for TCS Research and Innovation; Prof. Emeritus Dr. T. S. Sampath Kumar, Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, IIT Madras; and Ar. Sukumar Hebbar, Executive Vice President & Head of Health, Public Spaces, Airports, Datacenter & International Business Group, Buildings & Factories IC, at L&T Construction, Larsen & Toubro Limited, Chennai.
The Chief Guest delivered an insightful address focusing on the pivotal themes of educational quality and digital transformation within the domain of Engineering and Technology. She highlighted Tamil Nadu’s highly beneficial ‘Naan Mudhalvan’ scheme, initiated by our Honorable Chief Minister, emphasizing its significant role in fostering engineering and digital development. She expressed confidence that this initiative will position Tamil Nadu as the Innovation Capital of India.
In her concluding remarks, she offered three powerful guiding principles for leading a purposeful and meaningful life – Pursuit of passion, unwavering faith and intensity of action.
The Convocation was presided over by Dr. R. Shivakumar, Chairman, SRM Group of Institutions (Ramapuram & Trichy Campuses), and Shri S. Niranjan, Co- Chairman, SRM Group of Institutions (Ramapuram & Trichy Campuses).
A Total number of 2281 students from faculty of Engineering and technology, 100 from Faculty of Dental and Sciences, and 100 from Faculty of Architecture (SEAD) were awarded degrees during the Convocation.
The Annual Report was presented by Dr. Sakthi Ganesh M, Dean (Engineering and Technology).
The Convocation marked a significant milestone in achieving academic excellence at SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Ramapuram, celebrating talent, tenacity, and triumph.
