Project club in association with RYZ Private Limited and CSI has conducted “COGNISANCE 2024” – Intra-Departmental Project Design
The event commenced with a warm Welcome Address by Dr. Rajeswari Mukesh, the esteemed Head of the Department of Information Technology. She extended her heartfelt greetings to all the attendees, setting an encouraging tone for the event followed by Felicitation address by VP (Admin) and VP(Academics). Dr.B.Muthukumaran, a leading expert in the field of cyber security, was honored and following this, the Presidential Address was delivered by Dr.M.Sakthi Ganesh, Dean of Engineering and Technology (E&T). His address highlighted the importance of innovation, creativity, and the role of students in shaping the future of technology. He praised the efforts of the department in organizing the event and encouraged students to continue their pursuit of knowledge and excellence.
The introduction to the Project Club was given by Dr.M.Latha, Associate Professor of Information Technology. She shed light on the vision and mission of the club, emphasizing its role in fostering technical skills, teamwork, and innovative thinking among students. Her speech highlighted the importance of collaboration and how the Project Club serves as a platform for students to showcase their talents through projects and inventions, both in the software and hardware domains.
The Inaugural address was delivered by Dr.B.Muthukumaran, Vice President / Cyber Security & SOC and General Manager of Training at HTC Global Services. His address focused on the latest trends and developments in Cyber Security, the importance of safeguarding digital assets, and how emerging professionals can make a significant impact in the industry. His presence and insights were highly appreciated by the students and faculty alike.
Many IT students showcased their innovative projects during the event, displaying an impressive combination of software and hardware models. The projects ranged from cutting-edge software solutions to creative hardware inventions, reflecting the students’ deep understanding of technical concepts and their ability to translate them into real-world applications.
The event provided an excellent platform for students to demonstrate their creativity, teamwork, and technical skills. Their teamwork, innovative thinking, and problem-solving abilities were evident in every project presented. The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks delivered by SDR Arun Varshan, President of the Project Club and he expressed his gratitude to all the dignitaries, participants, and organizing team members for their contributions to the success of the event. He also acknowledged the efforts of the student teams for their remarkable presentations and teamwork, leaving the audience inspired
