As people gather to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, Christmas is regarded as the most joyful time of the year. In addition to commemorating the birth of Jesus Christ, it also honours the generosity and love that are shared by people of all religious beliefs.
Under the leadership of Respected Dean(E&T), our Team Campus Life, Faculty of Engineering and Technology, SRM IST celebrated the Christmas Festival in grand and traditional manner on 22.12.2023 at 2.00 pm in the presence of Dean(Campus Life), HODs, Faculties and students with the decoration of stars, crib, Christmas tree with serial lights. Dean (Campus Life) felicitated the gathering.
Respected Dean(E&T) has presided over the celebrations and delivered the presidential address. In his address, he spoke about the importance of Christmas festival and its celebration worldwide. He also emphasized the student involvement in the campus life events and also appreciated the effort taken by the Campus Life coordinator and student members to organize the celebrations in grand manner.
After Dean’s speech, it went on with the cake cutting followed by dance and carols. The celebration also included instrumental play, solo singing and various cultural performances by the students. A student dressed as Santa Claus paraded through the audience cheering and singing songs of Christmas, handing out small gifts and handshakes. At the end, vote of thanks was given and the program ended up with cake distribution.
