SUMMARY OF THE EVENT:
The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Ramapuram, organized an insightful One day Seminar on” Career Crossroads: Alumni Insights for navigating the Industry”, on April 8th, 2025. Mr. Joshua Sugumar, Senior Account Manager (Client Relations), Cyes Innovation Labs LLP, gave an insightful talk on the importance of teamwork in solving complex problems, highlighting the benefits of diverse perspectives, skills, and expertise. The seminar was aimed at motivating the second year ECE students to gain knowledge on the latest treats, trends and best practices in work place
The sessions started with a Welcome Address by Dr. Ramya G, Assosiate Professor, followed by an Introduction about Mr. Joshua Sugumar by Dr. Shanmugathammal M, Assosiate Professor. Dr. N.V.S. Sree Rathna Lakshmi & Head/ECE presented a memento to Resource person. Mr. Joshua Sugumar briefed about the real world problem solving requires adaptability. Furthermore, the
alumnus shared examples of how they had to adapt to changing circumstances and unexpected challenges in their work, highlighting the need for flexibility and resilience.
Mr. Joshua Sugumar is an expert in client relations with more than 5 years experience (full-time) in this domain. He is a senior accountant manager cyces innovation labs LLP, Chennai. Also, He is an alumni of SRM IST, Ramapuram, Chennai.
Mr. Joshua Sugumar shared their approach to planning, which involves setting clear goals, prioritizing tasks, and allocating resources effectively. The session was handled with various polls and awareness videos which make the students are interactive in the session. He emphasized the importance of prioritizing tasks and focusing on high-impact activities to achieve desired outcomes.
The alumni talk event was a success, providing attendees with valuable insights and practical advice on teamwork, planning strategies, and work priority. The event highlighted the importance of adaptability and resilience in real-world problem solving and inspired attendees to pursue their own goals and aspirations. The seminar was coordinated and executed under the guidance of Dr.N.V.S Sree Rathna Lakshmi Prof & Head/ECE.
