Introduction:
The Industrial Automation Workshop was organized by the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) in collaboration with AGIIT, Chennai. The event aimed to provide students with insights into Industrial Internet of Things (IIOT) and automation technologies used in modern industries.
Objectives:
- To familiarize students with industrial automation concepts, including IIOT applications.
- To provide hands-on experience in automation technologies and industrial control systems.
- To bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and industrial applications.
Topics Covered in Hands – On Experience:
Introduction to PLC & SCADA
- Understanding PLC hardware and wiring connections
- Basic ladder logic programming
- SCADA system architecture and components
Basic PLC Programming & Digital I/O Control
- Writing a simple ladder logic program
- Controlling LEDs using digital outputs
