SUMMARY OF THE EVENT
The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Ramapuram, organized an insightful Alumni Talk on October 25, 2024 at block III, Computer Lab 1. The distinguished alumnus from the 2023 batch, Mr. HARSHAVARDHAN BAJAJ, MBAS from Symbiosis Centre for Information Technology (SCIT), has delivered a talk on Essentials for Career Success in Engineering. The session started with a welcome address and a brief introduction to the event and speaker by the student representative Ms. Kanishka from II ECE. Mr.Harshavardhan briefed the students on ways to improve the skill sets required for placements, presentation skills, and the essentials for higher studies. He enlightened the students on how to prepare for the placement interviews with respect to different rounds, companies and for master’s degree, the guidelines for choosing the university, and the curriculum the university offers before taking up admission. He encouraged the students to actively participate in more project competitions and other co-curricular activities that add more value to the profile.
Mr. Harshavardhan has also mingled with students for their queries during the questionnaire session.The speaker has also shared his experiences and the wonderful journey that he had at SRM as a student and also offered the students practical advice on time management and resource utilization during their preparation phase for higher studies and placements. The sessions were highly interactive and eye opening..The session was concluded by Dr.R. Vani, HoD/ECE. She thanked and presented memento to Mr. Harshavardhan Bajaj.
