SUMMARY OF THE EVENT:
The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Ramapuram, organized an insightful alumni talk on November 8, 2024, at block III, Computer Lab 1. The distinguished alumni from the 2020 batch included 1. Mr. Kunal Boyal, a software developer at Rain Platform in Bangalore. 2. Mr. Deepak Singh , Senior Software Engineer, MOGLIX, New Delhi, 3. Mr. Pushkar Singh , Software Engineer, Cognizant, Bangalore, has delivered a talk on career planning.
Dr. R. Vani, Professor, began the session with a welcome address. Mr. Kunal Boyal briefed the students on ways to improve the skill sets required for placements, presentation skills, and the essentials for higher studies. Mr. Deepak Singh * guided the students in preparing for placement interviews, covering various rounds, companies, master’s degrees, university selection guidelines, and the curriculum offered before admission. Mr. Pushkar Singh encouraged the students to actively participate in more project competitions and other co-curricular activities that add more value to the profile.
Mr. Pushkar Singh also interacted with the students during the questionnaire session, answering their queries. The speaker also shared his experiences and wonderful journey as an SRM student. Additionally, he offered the students practical advice on time management and resource utilization during their preparation phase for higher studies and placements. Dr. P. Ramani , an Assistant professor , delivered the vote of thanks.

Through conversation with the guest, students were able to learn about the importance of internships, preparation for placement interviews and the invaluable relationships they form in a variety of fields.
