Rohit Ratnesh is an accomplished entrepreneur and a 2014 graduate of the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering from SRM University, Ramapuram. As a Partner at Swastik Electricals, he brings hands-on experience in the core electrical domain, specializing in circuit breakers, relays, PLC, and SCADA systems. - The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering organized an Alumni Talk on 28.07.25 at the Admin Block, 5th Floor, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM for the III year EEE students. The session was delivered by Mr. Rohit Ratnesh, a distinguished alumnus from the 2014 batch of EEE and Partner at Swastik Electricals.
- Mr. Rohit shared his professional journey and entrepreneurial experiences, highlighting the challenges and opportunities he encountered while establishing and growing his company. He provided an overview of the nature of work carried out at Swastik Electricals, emphasizing the latest trends in semiconductor-based protection and control systems used in industrial and commercial applications.
- A key highlight of his talk was the comparison between Air Blast Circuit Breakers (ABCB) and SF₆ Circuit Breakers, where he explained their construction, working principles, advantages, and limitations. He discussed real-world scenarios involving their selection and application in various power system environments.
- He also elaborated on modern advancements in semiconductor devices, particularly their role in smart protection systems and automation. His insights into the integration of PLC and SCADA systems for process monitoring and industrial control provided students with practical exposure to current industry practices.
