SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Ramapuram, Department of Computer Science and Engineering has Organized the Virtual Alumni Interaction on 3rd July 2020 from 11:00am to 12:30pm. The Alumni Interaction is conducted in order to share their experiences with the students.

With regard to that, even in this pandemic situation, We had conducted a Virtual Alumni Interaction with final year students through Google meet platform.

Ms A.Naga Harshita, IV-G / CSE welcomed our Alumnus Mr. Ram Dixit, Programmer/Developer II, TCS ( Batch 2012-16) for interaction.

Ram Dixit started by asking students questions regarding their career options and doubts regarding placements.

He gave some important tips for the students they have to develop their technical skills for getting placement in prominent companies. He briefly explained about company requirements. Many students asked their doubts regarding the technical interview, HR interview, and placement preparation which he explained very proficiently. He also described the trending fields in It industry. He also suggested few courses on udemy that can add up the skill set. He then suggested to place their projects on github. He also suggested students to master at any one programming language that is trending. He shared some more fields where students have scope other than the technical. Finally he asked to do specific online courses like linux, SQL, Web development full stack, Python, Java in Udemy and Coursera. Also asked the students to practice codings in their specific area.

Students actively interacted by asking queries and clearing their doubts. Students thanked Mr. Ram Dixit for sharing her experience and the guidance given by him.

On august 1st, an alumni seminar was conducted in the library seminar hall. The 3rd and 4th year students of B.tech civil engineering and the faculties were present. Our passed out seniors- Souradeep and Pavangupta shared their experience in the university and in the field. They shared how they tackled the problems during their studying period and how they are working right now. They also shared about their experiences in the internship they underwent and motivated us to go to various internships and gain field knowledge. Pavangupta briefed about how to go about for higher studies and find our interests. They also told us the importance of the subjects we have now and how well we can make use of our professors. They also inspired us to do projects and learn our subjects deeply. We had a very healthy discussion and were able to clear our doubts. Overall, we were motivated and inspired by their experiences and this made us realize its never too late to dream and achieve our goal.

On 23rd July 2018, an alumni seminar was conducted in the Block –III, 601. The 3rd and4thyear students of B.Ttech civil engineering and the faculties were present. Our passed out M.Tech students- MOHAMED ASHIQ SALMAN M and ARAVINDH R A. They shared their experience in the university and in the field. They also shared about their Project experiences in University of DUNDEE, U.K as SAP (Semester Abroad Programme) students.
They motivated the students about SAP and knowledge gain. They briefed about how to go for higher studies and field interests. They also told about the importance of the subjects we have to learn and how well we can make use of our professors. They had a very healthy discussion and were able to clear doubts. Overall, they were motivated and shared their experiences and this made realize it’s never too late to dream and achieve our goal.

On 28 sep 2019 SRM IST, Ramapuram organized an alumni meet which was accompanied by various alumni from various parts of the country. Among the participated alumni their was an active participation of EEE department alumni. During the meet Dean, Dean alumni, Deputy Director and alumni coordinators gave many ideas on how to go with the placements, which filed has a better scope and what needed for the growth of the society. Alumni took part in that conversation with huge interest and gave their valuable inputs regarding the above points and also what can be implemented for the welfare of the college. It is also planned to conduct the next alumni meet as an international meet.
