Summary of the event The Department of Biomedical Engineering successfully conducted an Alumni Interaction Program aimed at guiding current students through real-world insights and career experiences shared by alumni. The session served as a platform to strengthen the alumni-student-faculty relationship and provide meaningful direction for career planning, industry preparedness, and higher education pursuits.
The event began with a welcome address by Ms. P. Padmapriya, Assistant Professor and Event Coordinator, followed by an introduction to the department and the alumni by Dr. Ushus S. Kumar, Head of the Department.
Three distinguished alumni shared their journeys and insights:
- Ms. R. Keerthana, Software Developer at Siemens Healthineers, discussed interview processes and preparation strategies under the theme “Kickstart Your Journey.”
- Ms. Immaculate Susan A, Research Analyst A4 at Capgemini, shared her experience in the corporate research domain and emphasized the importance of learning programming for biomedical graduates.
- Mr. Anandha Krishnan, Sales Specialist at InBody India Pvt. Ltd., provided an overview of biomedical career opportunities, company roles, and higher studies options including entrance tests for universities abroad.
The session concluded with an interactive Q&A session, a group photograph, and a formal Vote of Thanks delivered by Ms. P. Padmapriya, acknowledging the contributions of the alumni, the support of the management, Dean (E&T), HoD, faculty members, and the enthusiastic participation of the students.
