Har Ghar Tiranga Programme Under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav
As part of 77th Independence Day 2023 Celebrations
‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ is a campaign under the aegis of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav to encourage people to bring the Tiranga home and to hoist it to mark the 75th year of India’s independence. Our relationship with the flag has always been more formal and institutional than personal. Bringing the flag home collectively as a nation in the 75th year of independence thus becomes symbolic of not only an act of personal connection to the Tiranga but also an embodiment of our commitment to nation-building. The idea behind the initiative is to invoke the feeling of patriotism in the hearts of the people and to promote awareness about the Indian National Flag.
Team Campus Life, College of Engineering and Technology, SRM IST celebrates Har Ghar Tiranga campaign as part of 77th Independence Day 2023 on 15.08.2023. Under the leadership of Respected Dean(E&T), Team Campus Life, College of Engineering and Technology, SRM IST took the initiative and encouraged all faculty members, staff, and students to hoist the National Flag at their homes as well as create awareness among them on how to keep the flag at their homes.
Dr.M. Saravanan, Assistant Professor, Overall Campus Life Coordinator, and Convenor of the campaign and student members also gave over 150 flags to disseminate the message of “HAR Ghar Tiranga” so that everyone can hoist them in their houses between the 13th and 15th of August. The students also pledged to bring “Tiranga Home” and hoist it, ensuring the campaign’s success. Many more activities will be organised in the nearest future.
As per the communication by UGC & AICTE, 300 students from assorted branches of Engineering and Technology, CET, SRMIST, Ramapuram campus participated with Har Ghar Tiranga banners to salute our great nation on its Independence Day. It represents national integrity and signifies the hopes and aspirations of the Indian people. The programme participatory videos also uploaded in official Instagram, Facebook, twitter platforms of SRMIST, Ramapuram Campus, Chennai, Tamilnadu.
