Synopsis
With the consent and relentless support of Dr. N. Kannan, HOD, Department of CSE, the 5-Days Online Faculty Development Programme on “Integration of Advanced Technologies to Industry 4.0” was conducted for the Faculty Members and Research Scholars fraternity of ours and other institutions across the country. The event began with the note of welcome by Dr. Balika.J.Chelliah followed by the presidential address by the Head of the Department; Dr.N.kannan.He welcomed and motivated all the participants to make use of this 5 days session for their career growth. He welcomed the guest speaker of Day-1 session for his support in sharing her IT knowledge to make use of it by the participants in the Research area of Cloud computing. Day-1: The session started with the basic definition of Cloud and its wide variety of applications. Further topics covered as follows, The Pictorial representation of the Virtualization and it basic parts, Different types of Cloud service, Comparison of the Cloud services among the different vendors, Models of Cloud Deployment and Real time scenario of creating the service using the AWS. Day-2: The session started with the basic of what is Big Data and Why Big Data. Further topics covered are as follows, The 8 V’s of Big data. With these basic keys how it is working in Big data? Types of Data handle in the Big data, History of the Hadoop ecosystem with pictorial representation, The complete process explanation of the Google file system, Difference between the Spark vs Hadoop map reduce and How Big data is used in different domain explained with help of Use cases. Day-3: The session started with the basic explanation of Artificial Intelligence and the Machine learning. Further topics covered are as follows, With the help of Diabetic dataset, how to access the data in different stages, Explanation on different Python libraries and Visualization libraries, Different between the Supervised and Unsupervised machine learning, Using Sales dataset, shown the graphical output with different plots, Installation steps of python libraries and Steps to compute the machine learning algorithm. Day-4: The session started with the evolution of Deep Learning from the scratch. Further topics covered are as follows, Comparison of Machine learning/ Deep learning/ Neural network done between data vs Performance, Why we need to go DL and what are the basic hardware requirements needed to setup the machine?, Comparison of choosing R vs Python programming language in using the DL domain, Shared the different Data sources URLs and Deep Learning implementation was explained with the open research problems, Hands on session
Topic 1- Machine learning..Day-5: The session started with the evolution of Industry versions. Further topics covered are as follows, Architecture of IOT, Merits and Demerits of IOT, IOT technologies and its various characteristics, Provide knowledge on open challenges and issues, Deployment of IOT basic application. The participants were happy and satisfied as their expectation on grasping the peculiar insights in various domain of Industry-4.0 was fulfilled. The queries raised by the participants were clarified by the speaker. The participants gave commendable feedback about the event. Finally, the event was concluded by Dr. J. Shiny Duela with a thanks giving talk to the speaker for giving a wonderful session. Also she expressed the gratitude to Management, Director, Dean, Hod and participants.
